EOHS Manager

What the role involves is the following :

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

The EOHS Manager is responsible for maintaining the local EOHS Management System, together with the Q/EOHS-representatives at BCKB. Further, He/she is the inferface to Sustainability Mgt. System. He/she reports to Head Quality/EOHS East Asia.

1. Maintaining & developing the EOHS management

• Maintaining and implementing an EOHS System in accordance with ISO45001 & ISO140001, based on QEOHS-Policy (QEOHOSD002)
• Authority to stop at any time unsafe situation (escalation to Head of CEM&Q, MD)
• Authority to stop at any time environmentally harmful situation (escalation to Head of CEM&Q, MD)
• Primary role in the EOHS Safety Committee and leading role in the EOHS Core Team BCKB, aiming for a ZERO-Accident strategy
• Leading for accident investigation, near miss, Hazard risk assessment and for environmental issues (RCA etc.), misconduct against valid EOHS procedures
• In charge to initiate prevention and awareness campaigns (avoiding reoccurrence)
• Develop and implement local safety guidelines to ensure compliance to safety procedures and local laws ant the workplace, aiming to protect our staff
• Initiate continuous improvement actions for EOHS
• Reporting to Safety Committee on the performance and effectiveness of the EOHS system, including Management Review at BCAG (in cooperation with Head of CEM&Q.
• Provide new and current employees with required safety training and orientations as needed.
• Manage, schedule, and facilitate all safety training for all BCKB staff.

2. Sustainability

• Maintaining GHG and accidient statistis (part of annual sustainability reporting)
• Reporting KPI for BCKB Sustainability to Head of CEM&Q

3. Others

• Plan & carry out of internal / external audits, in cooperation with Head of CEM&Q
• Supporting to QA/QC managers and teams for maintaining or creating documents of quality work.

Succeed with these qualifications :

Education / Experience

• Bachelor degree
• Safety engineering major or equivalent preferred  
• QMS & EOHS experience (ISO9001, 14001, 45001) > 3 years
• Legal qualification and certificate of industrial safety engineer required.

(산업안전기사 자격증 보유 필수)

• Fire safety engineer, other HSE related certificate (Engineer industrial hygiene management) preferred

(소방안전 관련, 산업위생관리 관련 자격증 보유자우대)

• Craftsman Gas certificate preferred.

(가스기능사 자격증 보유자 우대)

• Experience in HSE dept. of company with over 50 employees preferred

(안전보건 관리부서 유경험자 우대)

• Experience in "Serious Accidents Punishment Act" preferred

(중대재해처벌법 관련 유경험자 우대)

• Q.EOHS audit specialised courses preferred

(품질/환경/안전보건 심사원 과정 이수자 우대)

Language Skills

• Good English & Korean skills, spoken and written
