Application Engineer - Instrumentation & Control

To strengthen our motivated team of Application Engineers in the Sales Team, we are looking for a dedicated Application Engineer:

Application Engineer - Instrumentation and Control

Your tasks will be the following:

• Direct Report to the Regional Application Manager
• Review of customer specifications and prepare request of quotation for Electrical and Instrumentation equipment like motor, control systems, Instrumentation, conditioning monitoring systems etc. and deviations.
• Interface with CAD, Quality department, Engg. dept. to prepare the required documentation for firm quotations as ITP, P&ID, Instrument list, Control philosophy etc.
• Interface with procurement team for the costing of critical items
• Scouting together with regional procurement team members’ new suppliers in the assigned region and give inputs to update the Burckhardt Global Vendor List
• Contribute on the developing of the standard regional costs for auxiliary items, instrumentation, controls, conditioning monitoring and implement in the standard tools.
• Ensure fast project handover to the contracting team upon project closure on assigned projects.
• Providing proactive technical support to the sales managers during the technical meeting on customer premises
• Benchmarking of Electrical, Instrumentation, conditioning monitoring systems, PLC panels, Motors with competition in terms of costs
• Support to Head of Application Engg. in the implementation of global process activities with interface across the Headquarter departments (Sales, Manufacturing, Contracting and Quality, Electrical and Instrumentation)

Succeed with these qualifications:

• BE/B. Tech. (Instrumentation & Control) with 5-7 years’ relevant experience
• Knowledge of international standards like API, ASME, ASTM, DIN etc.

Language Skills

• Fluent in English, orally and in writing
