Application Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare complete technical proposal for Reciprocating gas compressor as per company standard, guideline.
• Detailed review of customer specifications and prepare pre-bid query, deviation List and obtain comments from relevant departments.
• Prepare request of quotation for the major auxiliaries in line with project specification, follow up with supplier for bought out quotes.
• Interface with CAD and quality department to prepare the required documentation for firm quotations as ITP, P&ID and GA.
• Interface with Design for sizing of compressor, special requirements, compliances to codes and standards for different regions.
• Interface with Procurement for negotiated cost of bought out items within package.
• Prepare cost sheet with high accuracy for complete package based on scope of supply as per RFQ.
• Participate in Technical clarification meetings along with Front Sale (Physical / Online).
• Respond to technical queries post bid submission & establish clarity on scope of supply sold.
• Ensure project specific risk analysis is done for all firm project before award of order.
• In the event of order, timely handover contractual document, reply to interdepartmental queries for smooth execution of order.
• Adhere to processes as set by company.

Education and Experience and Languages:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar education.
• 7-10 Years of experience out of which at least 3-5 yrs Proposal Engineer OR Application Engineer OR Project engineer in Oil & Gas sector.
• Experience in API618 Reciprocating compressors or other Rotating equipment's in oil & gas industry (Refinery / Petrochemicals).
• Sound Knowledge of various standards like API 618, API 614, API 610, API 670, API 671 etc.
• Experience of reviewing high demanding specifications of EIL, TOYO, Reliance, TKIS, LTHE etc. (EPC and End Users).
• Experience in handling auxiliaries like Lube Oil console, Cooling Water console, Coupling, Pressure vessels, Separators, Piping & valves, Machine monitoring systems etc.
• Sound understanding of motor & instrumentation, control system, machine monitoring system, capacity control system for Hazardous / Safe area.
• Experience in preparation of detailed cost sheet and technical tender for a complex project in Oil & Gas industry.
