Position: Compressor Project Engineer

Location: Kondhapuri

Your contributions to organisation's growth:

• Provide pre order support to Sales Ex. Feasibility check, material selection, cater statutory & regulatory requirements etc.
• LBU review & take part in order transfer meeting & get resolution of LBU comments
• Prepare order speciality, scope of supply, checklist based on the sales documents and the guidelines of the project leader from the contracting
• Check & release all type of drawings (Casting, forging, manufacturing, assembly, tubing etc.), technical specifications & procedures
• Ensure correctness of drawings, material master & BOM & on time delivery as per project schedule and Prepare specifications, procedures and Bill of material
• Design calculations and its interpretation complying to Norm- calculation guidelines (AD- Merkblatt, PED, ASME) and internal calculation programs
• Coordination with other functions (Ex. Sizing, CAD, MDM, planning, production, purchase logistics, CO, assembly etc.) during execution of the project
• Participation in the activities like cost reduction / constructions optimization and new product development. There is also possibility to work in power user team for the NX program
• Ensure that the design engineers construct the design as per guidelines from CAD handbooks
• Provide suggestions to optimise the lead time and the efforts for the all Design outputs
• Personal contribution for continuous improvements
• Can help as a support for a case of emergency, special projects assigned until the regular arrangement is in place
• Maintain documentation and records as per ISO guidelines    
• Maintain & adhere IMS (QMS + EMS) procedures
• Resolve nonconformance, field complaints, implement suggestions from other depts & new product development
• Adhere to product standardization & value engineering approach

Education/ experience / languages:

• Master of Engineering / Bachelor of Engineering with Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience and having good academics
• Experience in 3D CAD (NX / Medusa / Teamcenter)
• Knowledge of MS Office, any ERP system, SAP preferable
• Experience in reciprocating compressor or rotating equipment industry (Will be added advantage)
• Conversant to manufacturing and assembly drawings, general management of layouts, piping instrumentation, GD&T
• Knowledge of international standards like API, ASME, ASTM, DIN etc
• Basic knowledge of compressor design and materials
• Spoken & written English is must
• German (Will be added advantage)

• This role demands deep understanding of compressor and its application in industries.
• Product design being critical hence require patience, focused approach, analytical approach, & fundamental knowledge of Mechanical engg.
• Interface with Swiss parent company and various departments to cater customer / market requirements.
• Strong logical thinking, analytical approach, decision making and innovativeness
• stretch to deliver on-time
• Sound knowledge of all type of drawings, GD&T, manufacturing processes, casting & forging
