Design Engineer

Main responsibilities and tasks:

• Creation and preliminary design of new constructions for development projects.
• Preparation of complex manufacturing and cast parts such as frames and cylinders, considering all required interfaces.
• Manufacturing optimization of complex components together with internal and external specialists.
• Expansion and maintenance of know-how documents such as checklists and white books.
• Contributing and implementing improvement proposals and standardizations for series of individual parts and assembly units, as well as the efficient use of NX.
• Definition, further development, and assurance of the application of design and drawing standards, including drawing structure, dimensioning, tolerancing, use of standard parts, and NX guidelines, across all relevant product lines.
• Standardization of BC drawings as per newest/revised international standards whenever applicable.
• Support internal customers in technical and administrative matters.
• Perform Key user role for NX software.
• Efficient handling of variant parts, e.g., via part families.
• Training and onboarding of new employees in Engineering.
• Training of existing employees on latest guidelines and standards to keep the colleagues up to date with newest standards.

Education, Experience and Languages:

• Graduate mechanical engineer with 8 to 10 years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of various international standards used like ASME, ISO, EN, DIN etc.
• Sound knowledge of SAP, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter.
• Experience in handling compressor specifications, ITP, etc.
• Very good written and spoken English skills for professional collaboration with global partners and external offices.
• Knowledge of German will be an added advantage.
