Position: Head QA/QEOHS

Location: Kondhapuri, Pune

Your contributions to organisation's growth:

• Lead the Quality Assurance & Quality Control function ensuring product reliability, compliance with global standards, reduction in quality costs, and continual improvement across manufacturing, assembly, testing, and supplier operations
• Evolve and implement the quality management strategy to support and integrate within the organization’s annual business plan
• Develop, implement & maintain an effective QMS compliant with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / API / customer‑specific standards.
• Lead internal audits, management reviews, NCR analysis, and CAPA processes.
• Capture the customer's voice and make the necessary changes in the delivery service if necessary.
• Identify quality‑related risks in processes, materials, and operations; develop mitigation plans.
• Minimize cost of quality by implementing appropriate quality control programs
• Define and ensure adherence to quality assurance plans for reciprocating compressor manufacturing, skid assemblies, and all auxiliary systems.
• Trouble shoot quality and performance problems; and work towards prevention and/or reduction in recurrence and intensity
• Review engineering documents, BOMs, material specs, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor, evaluate and develop Vendor/Subcontractor Quality, including assessment of performance continuously. Manage supplier NCRs, corrective actions, and performance monitoring.
• Establish and implement necessary communication strategy for improvement and increase awareness of quality issues across all departments
• Lead inspection activities for raw materials, in‑process components, machining, fabrication, assembly, and final testing.
• Ensure incoming material quality, traceability, and compliance with metallurgical & dimensional requirements.
• Act as the primary interface for customer quality teams, third‑party inspectors (TPI), and certifying agencies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements (ISO/API/ASME/IBR where relevant).
• Build competency through structured training on QMS, tools, and product knowledge. Drive culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the plant.
• Achieve European Equipment Certification (PED, MD, ATEX and CE Marking)
• Ensure the implementation of HR systems within QA QC function for Appraisals, Talent & Performance Review, Succession Planning & Annual Salary jointly with HR & Managing Director.

Education/ experience / languages:

• B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Additional certifications in QMS, Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, NDT preferred.
• 15–20+ years of experience in Quality Assurance & Quality Control in heavy engineering manufacturing.
• Minimum 7–10 years in reciprocating compressor / process equipment / rotating machinery industry.
• Proven experience managing QMS, customer audits, vendor quality, and inspection/testing teams.
