Position: Manager – Packaging

Location: Kondhapuri

Your contributions to organisation's growth:

• Oversee, manage and control overall Packaging process, ensuring that manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently for PL1/PL2/PL7 (BCIN + PL1/PL2 Packagers).
• Monitor monthly KPIs related to Invoicing, cost, quality, efficiency, safety and sustainability.
• Ensuring that Packaging operations meet quality standards and production targets at BCIN and Packager.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize production capacity.
• Strategic planning and coordination with all cross functions team to ensure smooth execution of projects.
• Implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs.
• Capacity Management in line with Forecast load. Manage capacity through outsourcing/contract resources.
• Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
• Attend production review meeting / OTM etc.
• Involve in engineering / design in early stage of projects to reduce mistakes
• Support product development and maintenance projects in R&D during shopfloor trials and site execution.
• Maintain & adhere QMS & EOHS procedures and audit plans.
• Overseeing maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of capital investments.
• Estimating costs and preparing budgets for Capex and Opex.
• Work in close collaboration with Packing & Logistics team for smooth packing & material movement activities.
• Support manufacturing engineers with problem solving automated equipment issues.
• Provide direction and guidance to shift engineers and operators for assembly, testing and packaging of compressors.
• Maintain a dependable and dedicated workforce in Fabrication and Packaging through open communications and the ability to drive and sustain change.
• Researching and implementing new fabrication techniques and technologies in existing process.
• Process mapping and bench marking with industry best practices to seek continuous improvement.
• Ensure job card entry in LN system.
• Production order closure (RMN, excess issue, LRN project-wise and hours booking)
• Provide feedback to Engineering / design and engineering related matters specific to projects.
• Test compressor (MRT and Final Testing) as per test procedure.

Education/ experience / languages:

• BE Mechanical with 15-20 years of experience. 
• Knowledge of QMS & EOHS
• Spoken & written English is must
• Spoken Hindi & Marathi is must. Language skill in German would be added advantage

Special requirements:

• Min. 05 yrs. of Operator/Blue collar workforce handling experience is must
• Knowledge of Production Planning and control
• Knowledge of Electrical instrument's installation, tubing, and Cabling
• Basic Knowledge about Blasting & painting process and quality standards.
• Basic knowledge of ISPM15, Box CFT calculation, Packing Material, and its quality requirement
• Commercial and Negotiation skills
