Position: Procurement Manager

Location: Kondhapuri

Your contributions to organisation's growth:

• Commodities to be handled: Castings (Cast iron, SG, Steel, Investment), Forgings, Crankshafts
• Float enquiries of above-mentioned commodities.
• Evaluate quotations, Make Cost comparison, Negotiate and raise Purchase Orders through SAP system
• Expediting with vendors for on-time delivery, sort out technical issues with supplier\Engineering
• Co-ordination & expediting with vendors and QA dept. for on-time inspections
• Co-ordination with QA for on-time GRN clearance
• Visit to vendors needed for expediting of pending activities or pending material
• Cost control w.r.to budget
• Monitoring & Controlling receipt of material for Inventory control and utilization of slow-moving items.
• Evaluate vendor performance along with VD
• Documentation of Purchase Order & related activities
• Update and maintain data required for MIS
• Maintain & adhere to QMS, EOHS & related procedures.
• Establish and nurture relationships with vendors

Education/ experience / languages:

• BE (Mech.) with 8-10  / DME with 10-12 year's of experience.
• Knowledge of foundry processes is must
• Knowledge of EOHS/ISO Procedures
• Knowledge of SAP MM Module, MS Word, MS Excel, Power point
• Good command over written and verbal English communication
• General awareness about material standards
• Language skill in German would be added advantage

Special requirements:

• This role is seeking maximum value for the company in term of time and cost. Must have sound knowledge of vendor base, Indian taxes and duties and excellent negotiation skills
