Project Engineer - Process and Auxiliaries

Main responsibilities:

Sales and Project Support

• Support quotation, tender and project execution activities for global projects.
• Review customer specifications and identify relevant civil and structural requirements.
• Develop preliminary foundation and structural concepts.
• Support technical evaluations, clarifications and deviations.
• Advise project engineers worldwide on civil and structural topics.
• Coordinate civil and structural interfaces with mechanical equipment, piping and package design.
• Perform or review engineering calculations, specifications, drawings and other deliverables.
• Review work performed by subcontractors and external engineering partners.

Engineering Activities

• Develop foundation concepts for compressors and other mechanical equipment.
• Calculate and evaluate anchor bolt loads.
• Design and verify steel structures and equipment supports.
• Evaluate static, dynamic, operating and transportation loads.
• Support seismic assessments where required.
• Contribute to engineering solutions for rotating and reciprocating equipment applications

Continuous Improvement

• Support the development of design guidelines and engineering standards.
• Improve calculation methods, engineering tools and work processes.
• Contribute to Value Engineering and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Capture lessons learned and implement improvements in future projects.

Education, Experience and Languages:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent discipline
• Civil engineering background with strong structural design and mechanical equipment foundation knowledge, or mechanical engineering background with practical civil engineering and structural design experience.
• Practical knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete structures. 
• Understanding of structural calculations, load paths and foundation design. 
• Experience with foundations for rotating, reciprocating or vibrating equipment is an advantage.
• Industrial plant, machinery package or modular equipment experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant international civil and structural design standards. 
• Ability to review engineering work completed by external partners.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
