Quality Improvement Specialist

Main responsibilities and tasks:

We are seeking an experienced 8D Moderator to lead and facilitate structured problem-solving activities across the organization. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, drive effective root cause analysis, ensure robust definition of containment, corrective and preventive actions and strengthen the organization's problem-solving culture.

This role requires a strong background in Quality and/or Continues Improvement within an industrial environment, exceptional facilitation and training capabilities and the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.

8D Problem-Solving Leadership:

• Moderate and facilitate 8D projects for customer complaints, internal quality issues, and supplier-related non-conformities.
• Support the case owners with 8D methodology knowledge to drive the improvement projects to timely completion.
• Challenge teams constructively to ensure fast definition of containment actions, rigorous root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
• Monitor progress of 8D investigations and escalate risks or delays as required.
• Ensure compliance with 8D methodology as per company quality requirements.

Facilitation, Training & Coaching:

• Moderate cross-functional workshops focused on problem-solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Train employees and leadership teams on 8D methodology and related quality tools.
• Coach problem-solving teams to improve analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
• Promote application of the problem-solving methodologies, especially 8D.

Education, Experience and Languages:

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced quality certifications are highly desirable (e.g., ASQ, EOQ, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, Lead Auditor).
• Proven experience leading and moderating 8D investigations in a complex industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops, training programs and cross-functional problem-solving teams.
• Track record of successfully delivering quality improvement or operational excellence projects.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality and/or Compliance functions. 
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience within an industrial manufacturing company
• Fluent professional English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong influencing and conflict-resolution capabilities.

Expert knowledge of: 

• 8D Methodology
• Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Ishikawa/Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis)
• Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)
• FMEA
• Strong understanding of industrial quality systems and standards.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
