Sizing Engineer

Main Responsibilities and tasks:

• Compressor Sizing and Selection: Identify the optimal technical and cost-effective solution for Sales (new machines and services) based on Client specifications.
• Detailed Calculations and Reporting: Perform detailed calculations and issue sizing reports for post-order customer projects (including torsional analysis, actuator sizing, valve dynamics, etc.) according to the project schedule. Resolve open points with customers in coordination with the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
• Pulsation and Vibration Studies: Conduct pulsation and vibration studies to determine economical solutions within the agreed budget, quality, and deadlines, in close collaboration with CAD plant construction and Contracting. This includes subcontracting studies and evaluating results.
• Thermal and Structural Analysis: Perform thermal/piping flexibility analysis, wind, seismic, and similar analyses.
• Technical Support and Advice: Provide technical support and advice to internal and external customers regarding performance, acoustics, and vibration issues with compressors during their runtime. Support the resolution of field complaints, including site visits as necessary. Support to Service team to check suitability of the original compressor for the revamp job specification and recommend most economical solution to suit Client needs.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong collaboration with global counterparts and other stakeholders.
• System support: Maintain and adhere IMS (QMS + EMS) procedures.

Education and experience:

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering having good academics and 2+ years of experience BSc ETH/FH, degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Familiar with international standard such as API, ASME, ASTM, DIN, ASCE etc.
• Fundamental knowledge of compressors, thermodynamics, mechanics, and acoustics.
• Knowledge of piping and support arrangement, P&ID, and general arrangement drawings.
• RecipCalc, PulsimSuite2, ANSYS, Rohr2, CAESAR II, MS Office

Languages: 

• English
• German (will be an added advantage)
