Main responsibilities and tasks:

 

Compressor Sizing and Selection:

  • Review customer specifications, process data sheets, gas compositions, operating conditions, and other relevant technical documents.
  • Perform compressor sizing and selection for new machines, service requirements, revamp opportunities, and replacement applications.
  • Identify the optimum technical and cost-effective compressor solution that meets customer requirements and applicable engineering standards.
  • Identify technical deviations, risks, and missing information during the proposal and project stages.
  • Prepare technical clarifications and support the resolution of customer queries in coordination with Sales and other stakeholders.

 

Detailed Calculations and Reporting:

  • Perform detailed calculations and issue sizing reports for post-order customer projects including torsional analysis, actuator sizing, valve dynamics, valve failure analysis, etc. according to the project schedule. 
  • Resolve open points with customers in coordination with the Project Manager and other stakeholders.

 

Technical Support and Advice:

  • Provide technical support and advice to internal and external customers regarding performance& technical queries about compressors.
  • Support the resolution of field complaints, Root Cause Analysis including site visits as necessary.

 

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate effectively with global sizing teams, technical experts, project teams, Sales, Service, and other internal stakeholders. 
  • Share technical knowledge, lessons learned, best practices, and application experience within the team and across global locations.
  • Contribute to the standardization of sizing methods, calculation templates, engineering guidelines. 
  • Support team development through knowledge-sharing sessions, technical discussions, and mentoring, where required.

 

System support:

  • Maintain and adhere to IMS (QMS + EMS) procedures.

 

 

Education, Experience and Languages:

  • BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering having good academics and 2+ years of experience
  • BSc ETH/FH, degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Familiar with international standard such as API, ASME, ASTM, DIN, ASCE etc.
  • Fundamental knowledge of compressors, thermodynamics & mechanics.
  • Knowledge of piping and support arrangement, P&ID, and general arrangement drawings
