We are looking for a proactive, customer-focused, and technically strong progessional to help us drive service excellence, operational performance, and quality standards within our Service organization and our workshop in Schiedam. If you are passionate about delivering high-impact service and ensuring compliance to the highest industry standards, this role as Operations Coordinator is for you.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Coordinate workshop resources, plan workshop loads and ensure timely and compliant execution of orders
  • Guarantee on-time, on-budget execution of Parts and Repair projects according to customer specifications, industry norms, internal standards and ISO9001
  • Estimate and evaluate costs for Workshop operations orders
  • Support and assess activities of external Service partners and manage the supplier relationships
  • Ensure full utilization of company commercial and technical tools
  • Foster strong internal relationships across Burckhardt Compression and the European service network to enable a regional approach
  • Champion the "safety first" culture with zero-tolerance for non-compliance
  • Implement, maintain and improve the QMS according ISO 9001 as well as the EOHS system according to ISO 14001/OHSAS18001 (ISO45001)
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to the Health & Safety guidelines and secure implementation of local laws and regulations
  • Organize and conduct Q/EOHS trainings for local staff on a needs base
  • Maintain and improve process documentation, work instructions, and quality procedures
  • Participate in external audits and perform internal audits 
  • Oversee quality control activities related field services, workshop repairs, and parts handling
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for service deviations, failures, and customer claims
  • Ensure transparent communication and timely resolution of quality-related issues
  • Monitor quality KPIs, analyze trends, and implement corrective/preventive actions

 

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s level qualification in Engineering is required
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role and market (reciprocating compressors preferred)
  • Strong understanding of maintenance and repair operations
  • Proficiency in MS Office and exerpeience with SAP
  • Fluency in Dutch and English
  • Excellent communication and interppersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision making abilities
  • Strong team player with a hands-on mentality
  • Trustworthy, proactive, disciplined, and self-motivated
  • Valid driving license and work permit is required
