Position: Technical Sales Engineer

Location : Vadodara

Your contributions to organisation's growth:

  • Responsible for the development of the technical and commercial proposals for revamps, upgrades, engineering studies and turnaround projects for reciprocating compressors – from customer request until handover to project execution.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all involved stakeholders (internal and external) to win the project for BC which includes identification of required modifications and improvements.
    Define winning strategy for the offer together with BCx and agents.
  • Negotiation of contracts for compressor upgrades and revamp
  • Responsible for initiating the order and transfer of received purchase orders to execution phase
  • Participate, contribute and drive the development of new products, services and internal processes in the region
  • Support Business Development with product and service improvements/developments and Sales Campaigns.
  • Implement Sales Campaigns in the entire region.
  • Regular and sometimes as-hoc visits of regional offices and customer sites (e.g. project clarifications) in the region and regular exchange with Global Technical Sales.
  • Presentations at Technical Conferences, webinars on company portfolio, latest developments and service product releases

 

Expertise you have to bring in along with:

  • BE with Mechanical Engineering or Automation with minimum 10 years of experience in relevant field.
  • Proven previous customer service experience in Sales Engineering/Technical Sales or Project Management in equipment / compressors / reciprocating compressors / rotating equipment in Refineries, Petrochemicals, fertilizers, Industrial Gas segment.
  • Fluent in Verbal, Written English Communication
  • Profound technical knowhow of reciprocating compressors in Oil & Gas Industries
  • Knowledge of API-618 and relevant standards
  • Good understanding of Thermodynamics, petrochemical and refinery processes
  • Holistic know-how along the Sales Process (Cost calculation; Offers; Purchase Orders)
  • Functional leadership through Global Technical Sales team at BCAG and direct exposure to global requirements from HQ
  • Knowledge of applicable standards and directives within the region
  • Good understanding of Thermodynamics, petrochemical and refinery processes
