The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for assisting in the development and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including P&L results, forecasts, and variance analyses for the company's SYSTEMS and SERVICES divisions, providing financial reports to the company's financial and operational management and assisting in the consolidation and reporting of financial information to the corporate office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute monthly P&L reports for the company's Systems and Services divisions including reports by district, by product line and reports comparing P&L results to forecasts.
  • Analyze P&L results compared to forecast and investigate and explain significant variances.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of required monthly financial reports into the corporate consolidation system by established deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial information for presentations to management and the corporate office as needed.
  • Ensure all corporate reporting requirements are met within established deadlines.
  • Assist in the automation of reporting.
  • Prepare financial and operational Power BI reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Certified Public Account certification (CPA) or Finance certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • 3+ years' experience in financial reporting role or financial analyst role
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required.
  • Strong database and SQL server skills and report-writing
  • Power BI reporting skills preferred.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Solid understanding of accounting and management accounting principles
  • Knowledge of profit & loss statement, balance sheet and cash-flow reporting.
  • Understanding of various financial KPIs
  • Ability to pass background and drug/alcohol screen.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including MS Office, electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Familiarity with SQL server databases and queries required
  • Ability to create Power BI reports preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP manufacturing module preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics Business Central preferred but not required.

Physical requirements and work environment:

  • Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner.
  • Perceiving size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin, particularly the fingertips.
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
  • Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
  • Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic)
  • Up to 15% travel domestically and internationally
  • Regular working hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00.
  • May require working outside of regular business hours.
