Summary of the role:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for oversight of daily operations in the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is properly managed, orders are fulfilled efficiently, and safety protocols are followed. This role coordinates with team members, provides guidance, and ensure smooth workflows.
Core responsibilites include:
- Warehouse Oversight: Manage all inbound and out bound domestic shipments, ensuring accurate preparation and timely dispatch.
- Shipping Coordination: Support the team in arranging shipments via UPS, LTL, and Hot Shots services.
- Equipment Operations: Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Daily Operations Review: Conduct morning calls with the systems team to discuss daily warehouse tasks and resolve any concerns.
- Inventory Management: Perform weekly audits of HOLD, OTC, and JOB bin codes, addressing errors and optimizing processes with the warehouse team.
- Financial Reporting: Compile a weekly pivot table of consolidation items to assist with sales cost tracking and revenue forecasting.
- Shipment Documentation: Providing weekly shipment reports to admin, buyers, and management for invoicing purposes.
- Procurement: Issue purchase orders for hot shots, propane, consumables, and shop maintenance needs.
- ERP & CRM Support: Assist with ERP (Business Central) and CRM operations, ensuring smooth shipping, receiving, and parts pulls for the field service teams.
- Project Collaboration: Work with project managers to locate, crate, and ship contracting items efficiently.
- Crating Coordination: Partner with shop personnel to determine item dimensions, communicate with the crating company, and finalize purchase orders.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain organized safety documentations for systems and service teams, including ladder, forklift, crane, and daily shipping logs.
- Inventory Transactions: Process parts pull requests, consolidate items, verify stock levels, and generate journal lists for warehouse execution.
- New Product Management: File inspection reports, classify inventory inspections, and oversee inventory adjustments.
- Team Leadership: Supervise warehouse personnel in the Systems and Service departments, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee contractors performing building maintenance, ensuring proper access and adherence to safety guidelines.
- SAP Warehouse Management: Coordinate SAP training for SYST personnel, oversee transactions, and ensure workflow compliance.
