To complete our team in the Technical Major Event Management group, we are looking for a proactive and dedicated

Compressor Specialist 100 % (m/f/d)

Your daily contribution:

• Detecting and analyzing compressor and plant problems at site
• Advising our customers on possible problem-solving possibilities
• Executing preliminary adjustments/modification to assure at least a limited operation of the equipment
• Member or Leader of tasks forces to verify the root cause for failure in cooperation with customers and BC internal specialists
• Recognized as key person in compressor and compressor system know how
• Actively participating in verification, defining and implementing of improvements
• Leading of or participating in small groups to monitor application specific issues on reciprocating equipment related to Reliability & Availability figures
• Conducting special technical trainings for our customers as well as Burckhardt colleague

Your Profile:

• Ideally a technical apprenticeship followed by a mechanical engineering degree
• Several years of experience in installation, commissioning of capital goods, ideally reciprocating compressors
• Beside the mechanical know how, basic know how on programming and control skills are expected
• Fluency in English is a must, any other official language of Switzerland, Spanish or Chinese is of advantage. Reaching German C1 level is expected, two years after joining Burckhardt Compression AG.   

Your Personality:

• Used to work under time pressure and under harsh conditions with demanding customer requests
• Proactive approach with a convincing appearance and diplomatic communication skill
• Skills in guiding and advising others to improve a certain situation
• Willingness to travel worldwide with 50% - 70% of working time
