To strengthen our supply chain development organization, we are looking for experienced and flexible personality with sound technical background to manage development of new and existing suppliers, developing capabilities of suppliers and production network of BC Group while ensuring reliability of supply chain in close cooperation with strategic procurement and technical matter experts.

Supplier Development Manager - Machining 80-100% (f/m/d)

 

Your daily contribution:

  • Conduct technical and quality audits at new or reassessed suppliers and define action plans for qualification and improvement.
  • Familiarize potential suppliers with BC standards and norms and lead new supplier development until operational procurement release (on-boarding process).
  • Lead and execute projects for part development with new or existing suppliers, including Make-or-Buy projects.
  • Support and monitor suppliers on identified parts, issues, and agreed improvement actions, including trial orders until handover to Operational Procurement
  • Coordinate with internal interfaces during development phases and support technical experts in maintaining the Asset/Tooling database in SAP.
  • Coordinate quality improvement initiatives following escalations with preferred suppliers and collaborate with the BCx Production network on parts development and supply chain optimization.
  • Support Category Management in projects.

 

Your Profile:

  • University Degree / HF in Technical subject (Mechanical or similar)
  • 3-4 years' experience in Operational or Strategic Procurement with additional 1-2 years' experience in Supplier Development and / or Education and / or practical experience in heavy engineering products
  • Profound work experience and technical know-how in machined parts, in precision machining production or work planning/production engineering.
  • Education, training, or experience in Project Management will be of benefit for the position.
  • Experience in Reciprocating compressors components or in similar / equivalent products could be of advantage.
  • Experience / Knowledge of working in SAP-Environment
  • Experience / knowledge of use of Microsoft Office tools and presentation technics
